FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 25
High Salary C
DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (11,200): Cousins and Curry are both identical 11,200 prices tonight, and he couldn’t possibly catch the Hornets at a better time. Charlotte already lost Al Jefferson and now are without Cody Zeller as well leaving Frank Kaminsky, Spencer Hawes, and Tyler Hansborough to team up to try and slow down the Boogie Train. Cousins has been phenomenal in his last ten games and is coming off a career-high 48 points on Saturday against the Pacers. Cousins is averaging 32.5 points, 14.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 blocks in those ten games and has at least 60 fantasy points in four of those ten contests including two of his last three. The Hornets have no one who will slow Cousins down, but there is a chance this game turns non-competitive, so Cousins isn’t a five star play partly because he costs so much. ∗∗∗
Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (7,700): The Cavs were gauged by Pau Gasol in their last game, and there should be room for the Timberwolves rookie to work against Cleveland tonight. He had 31.7 fantasy points against the Cavs when the teams met just over two weeks ago, and he has at least 31 fantasy points in seven of his last ten games. Towns had a monster game against the Mavericks on Wednesday of last week piling up 62.9 fantasy points on 27 points and 17 rebounds, so his ceiling is sky-high if he can take advantage of Cleveland’s defensive issues and turn in a solid line tonight. ∗∗∗
Marcin Gortat-Washignton Wizards (7,200): Gortat has posted three straight double-doubles since returning from dealing with swelling in his knee. He had 18 points and 11 boards against Boston in his first game back, and he’ll face them again tonight looking to post over 33 fantasy points for the fourth straight game. ∗∗∗∗
