High Salary PF

Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (10,300): Davis and the Pelicans are surging but they’ll run into the suddenly red-hot Rockets tonight in one of the better early games on the schedule.  Davis comes into the game tonight playing well with at least 45 fantasy points in each of his last three games with his usual 20+ points, 7+ rebounds, and good defensive numbers including blocks.  The Rockets have given up more fantasy points than any other team in the NBA to opposing PF, so Davis won’t get a better matchup.  He played two games against Houston already this season and averaged 26.5 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 1.5 assists in those contests.  Look for “the Brow” to take it strong against “the Beard” tonight in a matchup of surging stars before we get toe Warriors-Spurs.

Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (8,900): Millsap is expected to return from a one-game absence due to a death in the family.  He missed Saturday’s game but should be ready to suit up against the Nuggets in a good matchup tonight.  Millsap has at least 39 fantasy points in five of his last seven games and had a very solidly balanced 48.3 fantasy points against the Kings in his last game Thursday in which he finished with 14 points, 14 rebounds, five steals, four blocks, and three assists.  As long as Millsap is a confirmed go for tonight in Denver, he should feast on a thin Denver frontcourt and put up big numbers tonight. If active-

Pau Gasol-Chicago Bulls (8,600): Another nice option int he 8,000’s is Pau Gasol who is playing big minutes with Joakim Noah done for the year.  Gasol has as least 45 fantasy points in two of his last four games, and he is coming off a pair of nice games against Boston and Cleveland.  On Saturday against the Cavs, Gasol poured in 25 points to go with ten rebounds, six assists, a block, and a steal for a total of 48 fantasy points. He should keep getting plenty of offensive work tonight against a Miami team that is extremely thin due to injuries.

Chris Bosh-Miami Heat (7,600): Bosh had a successful return to Toronto scoring 26 points to go with seven rebounds, but the under-manned Heat lost by 20.  He will again be asked to carry the load with so few options offensively, so look for him to put up good numbers against the Bulls even though it’ll be a tall task for Miami to get the win with Wade, Bosh, and a bunch of injuries.
