. DT. Baylor. Andrew Billings. 25. player. 55

Steve McClendon has started 20 games over the past two seasons at nose tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and while he may be a decent rotational piece, he isn’t exactly scaring offenses with his 14 tackles from this season or 21 from a season ago.

The 310-pound Baylor Bear Andrew Billings may not have ideal 3-4 nose tackle size, but his strength and incredible athleticism for his size could prove to be a great fit.

Or the team could decide he fits better as an end in their defense and use him there instead, whatever position they believe suits him best, Billings is too talented to pass up on here if scheme is the only concern.

Billings never recorded less than 30 tackles during his three years at Baylor and had 38 in his senior season. He added 5.5 sacks and 14 tackles for a loss. All those stats are incredibly impressive when realizing that the defensive tackle spent much of the time being double and at times triple teamed. Something he would have to do again in a 3-4 line, but that hasn’t slowed him down yet.
