DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 26
High Salary PF
DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (11,000): What is there to say about Boogie? He has been phenomenal so far this calendar year and has taken it to a new level in the last few games looking like one of the five best players in the NBA. Last night, he had an NBA season-high 56 points while adding 12 boards, four assists, two blocks, and a steal on his way to an incredible 81.5 fantasy points. That stat line is not just an outlier though, since he has at least 65 fantasy points in three of his last four games and has at least 50 in nine of his last ten. Cousins fouled out last night after 46 minutes, but he should be ready to roll again tonight against the Blazers. Can he keep producing at this unreal level? It’ll cost you a lot to find out, but the Blazers have already allowed him a 36-point, six-rebound game earlier this season. He’s extremely expensive, but he’ll be widely owned given the show he has put on lately and overcoming not owning him could be impossible if he goes off anywhere near what he did last night. ∗∗∗
Chris Bosh-Miami Heat (7,700): Bosh hasn’t gone off for any monster games lately, but he has been a steady contributor in the midst of the injury chaos in Miami. He has at least 33 fantasy points in three of his last four games and seven of of his last nine. He hasn’t reached 40 fantasy points in any of those games, though, and only managed two double-doubles. Bosh will be in a pretty good matchup tonight against the Nets who allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing centers which is where Bosh will slide to if Hassan Whiteside misses his third contest in a row.∗∗∗
Thaddeus Young-Brooklyn Nets (6,400): Young’s value has dropped sharply due to his recent struggles, but he had a big double-double against the Thunder on Sunday with 14 points and 14 boards on his way to 41 fantasy points. He hasn’t been as steady lately as he was earlier in the season, but when he gets rolling he can run off a few weeks of excellent numbers. Look for him to take advantage of a thin Miami frontcourt if Whiteside is still sidelined for tonight’s matchups. No Whiteside-∗∗∗ With Whiteside-∗
Nerlens Noel-Philadelphia 76ers (6,400): Noel will take on a battered Phoenix front line tonight that will probably be missing Jone Leuer although Markieff Morris has been upgraded to probable. Noel returned from a migraine-shortened game to chip in 27.25 fantasy points against the Celtics on Sunday. He has at least 25 fantasy points in eight of his last ten (one of the games under that total being the migraine game). The Suns have been thinned up front due to injury, so look for Noel to have a solid game against them tonight. ∗∗
