High Salary SG

DeMar DeRozan-Toronto Raptors (8,400): DeRozan is a big part of why the Raptors have been able to reel off nine straight wins. In his last ten games, he is averaging 24 points, four assists, and 5.1 rebounds and has produced at least 45 fantasy points in four of his last seven games.  He has been especially dominant against tonight’s opponents the Wizards averaging 29.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, a block, and a steal against Washington in his three games against them. DeRozan had three straight games of at least 45 fantasy points before Sunday’s game where he only managed 26 fantasy points against the Clippers. I think he’ll return to that elite level in a great matchup for him tonight.

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,700): McCollum has been a great complement to Damian Lillard this season and thrived while Lillard was out injured as well. One of his best games during that stretch came against tonight’s opponents, the Kings, who he racked up 35 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists, and four steals against. While Lillard’s presence will keep him from dominating usage that much, he is still in a great matchup against the Kings who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.

Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (7,400): Middleton and the Bucks catch the Magic on the second night of a tough road back-to-back, and he’s been on fire lately with at least 30 fantasy points in nine of his last ten games.  Middleton has scored at least 20 points in nine of his last ten as well with six of his last ten totaling over 35 fantasy points. He isn’t the bargain he used to be, but he should be a good play again since he plays a ton of minutes and is the focus of the Bucks offense. He will have to deal with Victor Oladipo’s defense which keeps him from being a five-star play, but he’s still a great option to consider.

Dwyane Wade-Miami Heat (6,800): Wade has been dealing with injuries in both his shoulders, but he has still been extremely productive in his last two games.  On Friday, he played 37 minutes against the Raptors and had 22 points, four assists, and three rebounds for 29.1 fantasy points. He followed that up with an even better game last night in Miami’s win in Chicago scoring 28 points in 34 minutes and adding seven rebounds and five assists for 44.9 fantasy points. Fatigue and his injuries are still concerns, but he definitely can out-produce his value tonight against the Nets who allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing SG. ∗∗

Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (6,200): I thought Oladipo was lined up for success last night, but he stunk finishing with just 17.8 fantasy points on five points, six assists, and four rebounds.  He still did play 37 minutes, though, and he’s definitely in the Orlando rotation to stay.  He had three games of at last 36 fantasy points in his previous four, so he’s still got plenty of upside even though last night’s letdown makes him much higher risk.
