High Salary SF

Kevin Durant-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,200): Speaking of Durant…. KD went off for 44 points last night in the Thunder’s overtime win in New York adding 14 boards, five assists, and a steal on his way to 66.3 fantasy points. In his last six games, Durant has four double-doubles and he’s as reliable as they come for at least 20 points each night.  He did not end up with a double-double in either game against Minnesota earlier this month, but he did post 39.7 and 41.9 fantasy points in the two games making him a low-risk play tonight despite playing over 40 minutes in back-to-back games for OKC who is playing their third game in four night.

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (8,200): Hayward signed an offer sheet with the Hornets back in July of 2014 but the Jazz choose to match the offer and keep Hayward in Utah. Given how Hayward usually plays against Charlotte, you can easily see why they wouldn’t want to face him anymore.  Hayward destroyed the Hornets at the Hive last week when these teams met piling up 36 points to go with nine assists, five rebounds, and two steals on his way to 57.5 fantasy points. Hayward has been hot lately with at least 34 fantasy points in six of his last seven games which is why his price has climbed past 8K making him less of a value play than he used to be.  He should get back Derrick Favors to help on offense tonight although after a lengthy layoff it’s uncertain how ready Favors will be to produce.

Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (7,500): The Spurs will be out to erase the memory of their last game tonight as they host the Rockets.  Leonard only played 25 minutes in the Spurs’ beatdown at the hands of the Warriors on Monday.  Leonard did managed 26 fantasy points on 16 points and five rebounds, but his numbers have been down overall lately since Coach Popovich has been limiting his minutes due to blowouts one way or the other.  Tonight, I don’t see a blowout coming either way, and Kawhi will be needed on the floor to limit James Harden.  Leonard had two solid games against Houston earlier this year averaging 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks.  He should be back to his stat-stuffing self tonight and he’s in a good matchup since the Rockets have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF.

Chandler Parsons-Dallas Mavericks (6,400): Parsons has been red-hot lately with at least 33 fantasy points in four straight games including a game with 43.6 fantasy points and a game with 45.7 fantasy points. He has played over 35 minutes in each of those four games, but has become a key part of the Mavericks attack.  Parsons had a quiet game the first time the Mavs met the Warriors with just five points, five assist, and six rebounds, but he should be able to vastly improve on those numbers given his recent run of success.  The only reason he’s risky is the possibility of a blowout.
