2. Josh Doctson, WR, TCU

This draft is going to be particularly interesting in regards to wide receivers. Treadwell figures to be the first receiver of the board and should go in the top five, with a number of high-upside options behind him.

One of those receivers who has a chance for a big combine is Doctson, who is coming off of a record-setting year at TCU. With an impressive Scouting Combine performance, Doctson could establish himself as a potential late-first or early-second round pick.

Doctson was spectacular in 2015, reeling in 78 passes for over 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns despite being limited late in the year with a wrist injury. His extremely polished route-running could make Doctson an immediate impact player in the NFL, and he has excellent body control ability while in the air that simply cannot be taught.

However, the Scouting Combine may actually expose some of Doctson’s perceived weaknesses. Doctson doesn’t have great size or strength and 6-2, 195 pounds, and many  are expecting him to post a fairly poor time in the 40-yard dash.

If Doctson can post decent speed and strength numbers at the Scouting Combine, he can really improve his draft stock. Otherwise, Doctson may slide more towards the third round despite his gaudy numbers this season.

Who the No. 2 receiver off the board in the draft is could be determined by a few performances in Indianapolis. If Doctson has a great showing, he will be right there in the discussion with the likes of Michael Thomas and Corey Coleman.
