This is one of the more recent feuds we’ve seen in the NFL, and it’s one worth monitoring over the next few seasons. The fact that the Giants and the Panthers play in different divisions dulls the edge on this one just a bit, but judging by the media firestorm generated after their first encounter, it’s impossible to ignore the bad blood between Beckham and Norman.

The two standouts at their respective positions went head-to-head in Week 14, and it didn’t take long for their matchup to go from ugly to inappropriate. Both players let their emotions spill over onto the field, resulting in punches being thrown and physical altercations occurring far away from the ball. Beckham torpedoed Norman to the helmet from his blindside at one point; Norman threw Beckham to the ground at another moment. Overall, however, Beckham seemed to often be the instigator, while Norman was merely retaliating.

After the chippy contest ended, OBJ was suspended a game for his actions. Norman called the star receiver a “ballerina” and told the media that Beckham should have been ejected at numerous points throughout the game. “It was ridiculous. I think it was personal,” the Panthers cornerback said. “I hope I pulled that mask off. I pulled back the face of what that dude really is.”
