High Value SF

Jeff Green-Memphis Grizzlies (5,100): Right now it looks like Green that has the upper hand in the constant battle for playing time in Memphis between he, Tony Allen, and Matt Barnes.  Green is coming off a great game on Monday when he scored 30 points in 31 minutes to get to 45.1 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last nine, but he can be unpredictable on a night-to-night basis since his playing time can widely fluctuate based on matchups. Tonight against the Bucks, I would expect the Grizz will be able to go pretty small and attack with Green or Barnes login plenty of minutes at the PF spot which makes Green a high-risk, high-reward option to consider.

Alonzo Gee-New Orleans Pelicans (4,000): Gee had been playing in the starting unit for the Pelicans even before the injuries struck Davis and Evans.  He should continue to see plenty of time on the floor having played 29 minutes or more in five of his last six games.  In four of those five contests, Gee has at least 22 fantasy points, and he should be able to at least continue that performance level tonight and possibly step into a larger scoring role. He has a good chance to return nice value at his 4K price.

Doug McDermott-Chicago Bulls (3,500): If you’re really feeling lucky or just going to punt the position, you could go with McDermott who is likely going to play plenty of minutes against the Lakers tonight in a pretty good matchup.  Nikola Mirotic underwent an appendectomy on Wednesday, so McDermott will likely rejoin the Bulls starting lineup tonight.  He is in a good matchup, but he is high-risk since he hasn’t shown he’s ready for a bigger role. It’s definitely a situation worth watching in Chicago since there are going to be plenty of minutes available for as long as Mirotic is sidelined.
