FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 29
High Value SG
Avery Bradley-Boston Celtics (5,800): Bradley has been scoring effectively for Boston since missing time with a hip injury. He has played at least 35 minutes in 11 straight for the Celtics and he has at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last eight games. He is coming off his best game of that span when he amassed 41.1 fantasy points on 27 points, three rebounds, four steals, an assist, and a block. Bradley should be a good play again tonight against the Magic although he may have to deal with Victor Oladipo who is a pretty solid defender. ∗∗∗
J.R. Smith-Cleveland Cavaliers (5,200): Smith has found success in his first three games with Tyronn Lue at the helm of the Cavs and has 34.7 fantasy points, 23.4 fantasy points, and 34.6 fantasy points in Lue’s three games as head coach. The up-tempo style Lue wants to play is a great fit for Smith and he’ll look to keep his successful roll going tonight against the Pistons who he had 15 points against in the first meeting of these two teams. ∗∗
Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (4,900): Booker is still a cheap SG worth a look even though his price has risen to almost 5K. He has at least 25 fantasy points in four of his last five games including his most recent game on Wednesday in Cleveland when he had 16 points, five assists, and three rebounds. He continues to one of the Suns’ few good offensive options, and since he gets plenty of playing time I like him as a solid play against the Knicks. ∗∗∗∗
Langston Galloway-New York Knicks (4,100): Galloway started in place of the injured Jose Calderon last night for New York against the Raptors. Even in a tough matchup, Galloway had 23.8 fantasy points on 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. He had an even better stat line on Tuesday against the Thunder when he had 36.5 fantasy points on 21 points against the Thunder. Since Calderon has been unimpressive as a starting PG, I’m hoping that the Knicks keep giving Galloway the minutes at starting PG and that he can emerge as a multi-category threat on a nightly basis. He’s in a much better matchup tonight against the Suns who allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing guards. No Calderon-∗∗∗∗∗ With Calderon ∗∗∗∗
