If the Clippers are open to trading Blake Griffin, these five NBA teams would be a perfect fit

The Los Angeles Clippers are currently going through some off-the-court drama issues thanks to star forward Blake Griffin, who recently injured himself while fighting with a member of the Clippers’ training staff. On the court, the Clippers seem to be fine. They’ll be fine even without Griffin thanks to Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan, JJ Reddick, and Jamal Crawford. That brings up an interesting question, though. Would the Clippers be better off trading Blake Griffin now?

Griffin is set to become a free agent after the 2018 season (assuming he declines his player option of $21,400,000). The Clippers could get a huge haul for him while still remaining championship contenders. If they make the right trade, they might even be better off than they were with Griffin. Griffin would certainly intrigue a number of teams, as he is averaging over 23 points per game with eight rebounds this season for the Clippers. He is one of the league’s most athletic forwards and is extremely marketable, meaning that he has value both on and off the court.

The Clippers might not decide to trade Griffin. However, if they do, these five teams would make a ton of sense.
