2. Calvin Johnson scorches Dallas Cowboys for 329 yards

Calvin Johnson had the second best receiving game in NFL history with the Detroit Lions. On one October afternoon in 2013, Johnson had 14 catches, which is a great stat for any receiver in a game. Not only did he have 14 receptions on that afternoon against the Dallas Cowboys, he also had 329 yards.

His 329 yards against the Dallas Cowboys ended up being the second-most receiving yards ever in a game. Not only was it a huge day for the Lions’ receiver, it was also one of the best games of the season that saw the Lions win on a last-second keeper from Matthew Stafford, after Johnson had just made a big play to get down the field.

This game was the definition of a wide receiver taking the game into his own hands to help his team win a game.

There’s only been two 300-yard games in NFL history and this game by Johnson perhaps could be argued as the best game that a receiver has ever had in history.

He emotionally willed his team to the win and his refusal to give up and his abilities to fight for yards after catch ended up being the difference in a win for the Lions.
