2. Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers find themselves in a strange situation. They’re capped out with their current roster and can’t really make any big editions, but after the situation involving Blake Griffin punching the equipment manager, the team is going to need to make a move.

Griffin is currently hurt with a quad injury and he injured his hand during his altercation. Even when he’s healthy and comes back, there’s a real chance that he’s going to face some serious discipline for his actions. That means the Clippers are going to have to hang on up front without him for a while.

With that being said, the Western Conference is brutal and the Clippers are going to have to go out and add someone up front to provide depth and a physical edge. Considering where they are at currently, Taj Gibson wouldn’t be a bad move for the Clippers to consider.

They could also make an appealing trade to the Chicago Bulls, as they could offer the expiring contracts of Jamal Crawford, Luc Mbah a Moute and another salary filler. The Bulls would be getting back a veteran big man for depth as they currently need someone to spell Gasol and Portis for a few minutes and they’d be getting a potential explosive scorer off the bench in Crawford.

All of their contracts would come off the books at the end of the season and the Bulls would be primed for free agency and a chance to chase some bigger targets with the extra space.
