1. Denver Nuggets

Denver is rebuilding and in need of talented players to continue to build around. The Nuggets were thrilled when Emmanuel Mudiay fell to them with the 7th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft and see him as a player they can build around and feature for years to come. Kenneth Faried is a good player and the Nuggets can count on him to anchor the power forward position for years to come. A trio of European centers and Italian small forward Danilo Gallinari give the Nuggets an international feel. The shooting guard position is weak however, with Gary Harris and Randy Foye currently sharing time at shooting guard making it clear that the Nuggets need an upgrade.

Shabazz Muhammad has much more upside than Gary Harris and Randy Foye and his steady improvement should catch the attention of the Nuggets front office. With depth at center, and valuable role-playing veterans on the bench, the Nuggets have trade assets and cap flexibility. The Nuggets are in need of a young aggressive scorer to help supplement Emmanuel Mudiay in backcourt. If Shabazz Muhammad can continue to improve along with Emmanuel Mudiay, the Nuggets could have a dangerous backcourt down the line.
