High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,900): KCP has at least 12 points in each of his last nine games and should be able to return solid fantasy points tonight against the Nets who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. Caldwell-Pope has averaged 13 points, five rebounds, 2.5 assist, and 2.0 steals against Brooklyn in his first two meetings with them this season, and he should be able to post a nice stat-line tonight. He has at least 21 fantasy points in each of his last nine games with over 25 fantasy points in five of those matchups.

Joe Johnson-Brooklyn Nets (5,200): On the other side of the Nets-Pistons game, veteran Joe Johnson is worth a look since he’s helping the Nets find some rhythm since losing Jarrett Jack.  Johnson has scored in double digits in eight of his last ten games including each of his last four and has posted at least 21 of in each of his last five games since he has been playing so many minutes and contributing nice non-scoring stats.  Johnson had ten points, seven rebounds, and five assists in his most recent game on Saturday against New Orleans, and I see him as a low-risk, low-upside play tonight against the Pistons.

Gary Harris-Denver Nuggets (4,700): The Nuggets continue to give rookie Gary Harris plenty of playing time and he has been putting together some nice games from time to time this season.  He has at least 13 points and at least 23 fantasy points in four of his last five games and is coming off a solid game of 25.7 fantasy points against the Pacers when he scored 18 points to go with three assists, a block, a steal, and a rebound. He is a little risky since he’s a rookie and can disappear at times, but at home against the Raptors he should put together solid enough production to be worth a look at this price point.

Wayne Ellington-Brooklyn Nets (3,900): Ellington is one of the best ultra-cheap play tonight as will likely start alongside Joe Johnson against the Pistons.  Ellington has at least eight points in each of his last five games and has played over 27 minutes in each of those contests.  He has added enough non-scoring stats to get to over 20 fantasy points in three of his last four games which is enough to make him a good play at under 4K.

Dion Waiters-Oklahoma City Thunder (3,900): Waiters has moved into he starting lineup for the Thunder and has been turning in solid but not spectacular production,  He has scored at least 13 points in four of his last five games but his non-scoring stats are virtually non-existent even when he plays massive minutes.  Waiters is a flier you can take if you don’t trust Ellington, and he’ll probably log heavy minutes tonight against Washington. My only hesitancy with Waiters is his lack of production in any category but points.

Bryce Jones-New Orleans Pelicans (3,500): Jones made the most of his ten-day contract with the Pelicans and is starting his second short-term deal with the team.  Jones has started each of the last two games for New Orleans and has posted 24.4 fantasy points and 21.3 fantasy points while playing over 35 minutes in each contest. If he starts in place of the ailing Tyreke Evans again tonight, Jones is worth a look as a flier. No Evans-∗ With Evans-no stars
