FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 1
High Salary SF
Kevin Durant-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,700): Durant has three double-doubles in his last four games and has posted over 46 fantasy points in each of his last four. His biggest game during that stretch came in New York when he totaled 66.3 fantasy points on 44 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists. He is in a great matchup tonight against the Wizards who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing SF than any other team in the NBA. Durant and the Thunder will be well-rested after a weekend off, and they should be ready to bring it against the Wizards. When the two teams met earlier this season Durant left midway through the game with an injury, but he did have 14 points and ten boards in his 17 minutes before leaving. If he can stay healthy and on the court tonight, he’ll be the top star (over 9K) to play tonight. ∗∗∗∗
Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (8,000): Hayward had his first down game in a while on Friday of last week finishing with just 19 fantasy points in 35 minutes against Minnesota. Hayward had been on a roll with at least 30 fantasy points in nine straight before that letdown and had even posted two games with over 40 fantasy points in his previous eight games. Tonight, he’ll look to return to that level as he takes on the Bulls in Salt Lake City. With Nikola Mirotic and Mike Dunleavy both out, Chicago doesn’t have much depth at SF which should allow Hayward to attack and carry the Jazz offense. I wish he was still in the low-7K range since this feels a little pricey for him, but I do think he’s a solid pick for tonight. ∗∗
Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (7,500): “The Alphabet” has been boom or bust lately, but he is actually pretty low-risk since he produces so many non-scoring stats that even when his shot is off he still gives fantasy value. Antetokounmpo has over 40 fantasy points in five of his last ten games including two of his last three. He had a huge game against Miami on Friday scoring 28 points to go with six assists, three steals, four rebounds, and two blocks while playing a massive 46 minutes. Tonight against Sacramento, I like him to have another big game especially since the Kings allow the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing SF this season.∗∗∗
Danilo Gallinari-Denver Nuggets (7,200): Gallinari has scored at least 23 points in six of his last eight games and has usually put up solid non-scoring numbers as well resulting in at least 33 fantasy points in four of his last seven games with a pair of games over 40 fantasy points in his last five. He usually brings his A-game at home and will need to step up for the Nuggets as they take on the Raptors tonight. He doesn’t have the upside that Antetokounmpo has, but he is a more reliable option on a night-by-night basis. ∗∗∗∗
Chandler Parsons-Dallas Mavericks (6,700): Parsons didn’t go off against the Suns like many (including me) thought was a possibility. He still had 15 points and 20.9 fantasy points, but his string of six straight games with over 32 fantasy points was snapped. He should be able to bounce back tonight against the Hawks since Dirk should return allowing Parsons to slide back to his more natural SF spot. Don’t let one down game scare you off of Parsons who looks to be surging back to fantasy prominence after recovering from his knee injury through a slow start to the season. ∗∗∗
