2. Kristian Fulton, 4-star CB

Losing Vernon Hargreaves won’t be easy for this Florida defense, but there are already two juniors lined up to ease the loss. Jalen Tabor was an All-SEC player at corner last season and Quincy Wilson looks to get to that level in 2016. However, if Kristian Fulton were to commit to the Gators, that second cornerback position would be much more interesting — along with four-star pledge Chauncey Gardner competing.

It would be a wide open race for the starting job come spring time, and Fulton would definitely bring a welcomed lockdown mentality to the Gators’ defense.

Fulton is listed as the No. 34 player in the 2016 class, the nation’s third-best cornerback prospect and the top player in Louisiana for 2016. Many expect him to pick the LSU Tigers come signing day, but there’s no doubt that Florida is still in the race.

The Louisiana-native took his official visit to Florida over the weekend and it’s believed that getting the final visit is the best because the school could make an impression on him so large that he could fall in love and not change his mind before he signs.

Florida seems to be in a good position with him and if he wants to play cornerback and then make it to the league within a few years, he should look at the Gators’ recent track record (Joe Haden, Marcus Roberson, Vernon Hargreaves).
