DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 3
High Value SF
Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (5,400): One of the many young players breaking out over the last few weeks has been Aaron Gordon of the Magic who has posted at least 22 fantasy points in each of his last six games since joining the starting lineup, at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last four, and at least 34 in each of his last two. Both of those two games were double-doubles with 19 points and 14 boards against the Celtics followed by 12 points and 16 rebounds against the Spurs. Gordon has long had the potential, but he’s starting to realize it and coach Scott Skiles looks ready to give him plenty of minutes at the PF spot going forward (although he still qualifies as a SF on DraftKings). He’s a great play tonight against the Thunder and is one of several five-star SF plays tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
Harrison Barnes-Golden State Warriors (4,700): Barnes price has dropped a ton since his return since he has struggled to find his groove. He hit the game-winner on Saturday against the Sixers and finished with 27 fantasy points but only had 12.25 fantasy points against the Knicks on Sunday. He has over 20 fantasy points in four of his last, though, and he’s in a great matchup tonight against the Wizards who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF. I think there’s a good chance Barnes at least returns value tonight and he could go off for more since he’s back to playing 30+ minutes per contest. ∗∗∗
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist-Charlotte Hornets (4,500): MKG just got back from missing the first 46 games of the season with a shoulder injury, and the Hornets are already relying on him to carry a huge load with Nicolas Batum, Kemba Walker, Cody Zeller, Jeremy Lamb, Jeremy Lin, and Al Jefferson all dealing with major or minor injuries. Kidd-Gilchrist has looked ready to step right in and produce in his first two games back with 22.25 fantasy points in 34 minutes in Portland in his season debut and an even stronger game against the Lakers when he posted 42.5 fantasy points in just 28 minutes with 19 points and 12 boards on Sunday. He has had a couple days off and will be asked to do the most that he possibly can tonight against the Cavs. ∗∗∗∗∗
Justise Winslow-Miami Heat (4,400): Winslow has also been playing over 30 minutes per game for the Heat and has been putting up near double-double numbers almost every night. He has at least 20 fantasy points in six of his last seven and had 28.5 fantasy points against the Rockets last night in Houston. If the Heat are a bit fatigued for their matchup in Dallas, I think they’ll rely even more heavily on the young legs of Winslow making him a five-star play for the second day in a row. ∗∗∗∗∗
Kyle Anderson-San Antonio Spurs (3,100): If you want to go even cheaper than Winslow, Anderson is getting some pretty regular minutes for the Spurs even in games with all their starters available and has posted back-to-back games with over 20 fantasy points and at least 18 fantasy points in four of his last six. He hasn’t gone off for a monster night in any one category but offers solid production across the board as a nice bench piece for a good team in San Antonio. He should get some time on the floor tonight against the banged-up Pelicans especially if San Antonio can pull away early like they often do at home. ∗∗∗
