DeMarcus Cousins destroys Taj Gibson, Pau Gasol watches (Video)
Kings center DeMarcus Cousins threw down a big dunk on Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson while Pau Gasol watched.
Outside of Stephen Curry, DeMarcus Cousins might be the most dominant player in the NBA over the last month. Cousins had an incredible January that established him as the best center in the league and he’s going to his second-consecutive All-Star Game in Toronto this month.
Against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, the Sacramento Kings’ center showed off some power and put down a vicious slam right on Bulls forward Taj Gibson.
As Cousins got a full head of steam, he knew he had Gibson right where he wanted him and viciously showed him just how ferocious he is. Even worse for Gibson, his teammate Pau Gasol got out of the way and just stood there and watched as Cousins brutalized his teammate in the paint.
Gibson’s never been one to back away from any challenge on the court, but this is one where he should probably know better and just follow suit with his teammate and get out of the way as Cousins has his moment with the basketball.
There’s not many more things scarier in basketball than Cousins going full steam ahead at a player, but Gibson will probably think twice before trying to challenge him like that again.
