DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 4
High Salary PG
Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (8,900): Lillard and Lowry are the two big-name PG to consider for tonight as the two duel in the late game at the Moda Center. Almost everyone will own one of these two guards and many owners will go for the double-stack with both of them. If I had to choose just one, I’d go with Lillard based on consistency and upside as well as the fact that he typically plays very well in front of his home crowd in Portland. Lillard has at least 38 fantasy points in each of his last five games and has been contributing nice non-scoring numbers lately with at least six assist sand four rebounds in each of his last four contests including a pair of nice double-doubles. His shot hasn’t been dropping at nearly the rate it was earlier this season, but he is still the focus of the Blazers offense and has the ball in his hands most of the time. He’s a solid play tonight, and I’d give him the slight edge over Lowry although the Raptors PG is also a solid play. ∗∗∗∗
Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,700): Lowry has had a little bit of an up-and-down trip including a bad burn for his owners on Monday in Denver when he had just 21 fantasy points in what looked like a good matchup. Lowry did bounce back with 41.75 fantasy points against the Suns, and he does almost always carry a heavy workload of usage and minutes. He’s very similar to Lillard, but since he’s on the road and has had a few “wobbles” lately I give him one less star than Lillard. ∗∗∗
Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (7,200): The Lakers have given up more fantasy points to opposing PG than any other team in the NBA, and Holiday has been a pretty solid contributor for the Pelicans although there have been a few bumps in the road. Holiday has over 35 fantasy points in eight of his last ten games, but his other two games have been bad burns where he finished with under 17 fantasy points. There really isn’t a lot of rhyme or reason to his two down games except that he simply wasn’t making shots, so hopefully that won’t be the case in the cushy matchup against the Lakers tonight. Tyreke Evans was doubtful for last night’s game and didn’t play against San Antonio, and when Evans is out Holiday gets more time. I don’t expect Evans to play tonight, so I’ll give Holiday-∗∗∗ but if Evans is surprisingly active-∗∗∗
