DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 4
High Salary SF
Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (8,500): Anthony is the only really expensive play out there tonight at SF, and he has been playing well enough lately to consider him if you have the money to spend. He has at least 39 fantasy points in each of his last three games and in five of his last six games where he wasn’t forced to leave early due to injury. Anthony has three straight double-doubles since missing a pair of game last week, and he should be keyed up to take on the Pistons in Detroit tonight. Melo had 24 points and six boards against Detroit the first time he played them this season, but I expect him to exceed those numbers tonight. He’ll need to go off to be worth his hefty salary, but there aren’t many alternatives if you have the money to spend at SF tonight. ∗∗
P.J. Tucker-Phoenix Suns (5,400): The Suns injury woes continue to mount and T.J. Warren who was a young SF with promise is out for the season now as well after a broken foot. P.J. Tucker will pick up plenty of playing time in Warren’s absence and has played at least 35 minutes in six of his last seven healthy games. He had 24.5 fantasy points against the Raptors on Tuesday on ten points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals giving him at least that many fantasy points in six of his lsat seven games where he wasn’t forced to leave early due to injury. Tucker usually doesn’t go off in any one category, but he can be a nice multi-category threat and should be ready to produce tonight against the Rockets who allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing SF. ∗∗∗
Al-Farouq Aminu-Portland Trail Blazers (5,200): Aminu has been putting together nice stat lines lately with at least 22 fantasy points in four of his last six including over 28 fantasy points in three of those games. He had 29.25 fantasy points against the Bucks on Tuesday scoring 16 points to go with five rebounds, three steals, and an assist. Aminu is a multi-category three-and-D producer, but he has been playing increased minutes (over 31 in each of his last three) and starting to fill out the stat sheet a little bit more than he was earlier in the season. ∗∗∗
