DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 4
High Value PF
Markieff Morris-Phoenix Suns (5,700): The new regime in Phoenix looks like a positive change for Markieff Morris who got the start and dropped 30 points in Earl Watson’s first game as interim head coach. Morris added 11 rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and a steal for an impressive 58.8 fantasy points against the Raptors. Tonight, he’ll be in a great matchup to produce again since the Rockets allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF. Morris will be widely owned after his big game Tuesday, but he’s by far the best PF play at his price with the most upside on a points-per-dollar basis at the position tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
Josh Smith-Houston Rockets (4,800): Smith started at center for the Rockets on Tuesday since Clint Capela was injured and Dwight Howard was suspended, and he managed to put together 31.5 fantasy points. Howard is expected back tonight, but Capela could still be out and allow Smith to continue to play extended minutes. In addition, Terrence Jones won’t be available after getting into a car accident on Wednesday (not a joke, I swear). Smith has been a solid value play since returning to the Rockets and has at least 25 fantasy points in four of his seven games with Houston. If Capela is out, Smith should get plenty of time at PF/C tonight making him worth a flier at this price. No Capela-∗∗∗ With Capela-∗∗
Ed Davis-Portland Trail Blazers (4,100): Davis plays his former team tonight as the Raptors visit Portland. With Noah Vonleh doubtful, Davis could get the start or at least some extra playing time if Meyers Leonard gets the starting nod. Davis has been putting up pretty decent numbers in his limited time as he usually does and has at least 18 fantasy points in six of his last seven. He has shown the ability to go off when given bigger minutes in the past, and with the revenge factor and a bigger opportunity, I think Davis is a nice cheap play tonight. ∗∗∗∗
