High Salary C

Dwight Howard-Houston Rockets (7,800): The big name at center tonight is probably Andre Drummond, but I’m not sold on his recent form or his matchup against the Knicks.  I’d rather go with Howard who will probably end up soaking up a ton of time in the middle for Houston tonight due to the injuries outlined on the previous page.  Remember, Howard’s minutes have been limited lately by ejections not so much injury and he was suspended for Tuesday’s game not hurt.  His last game where he was fully 100% healthy was his monster 36-point, 26-rebound game against the Clippers which came over two weeks ago.  Since then, he has been hurt, thrown out, or suspended playing limited minutes.  Tonight, that could change in a big way with Jones out, Capela hurting, and Josh Smith as just about the only other big-man option for Houston. The Suns don’t have a ton of depth of front either although Tyson Chandler is still a solid defensive presence.

Mason Plumlee-Portland Trail Blazers (5,700): While Plumlee’s salary normally wouldn’t qualify him for “high salary” I don’t love the other options that cost more than him.  Plumlee has been pretty good lately but has played limited minutes in his last two games. He was in foul trouble Tuesday but still managed 22.1 fantasy points in his 20 minutes.  He had reeled off four games of at least 33 fantasy points in his previous five before his last two down games, and I think he should be able to return to that level tonight against a banged up Jonas Valanciunas for Toronto.
