FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 4
High Value SG
Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (5,400): True story–the Suns are a mess. However, the one bright spot to emerge offensively has been 19-year old rookie Devin Booker. Booker has at least 24 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games and at least 31 fantasy points in four of those contests. He had 27 points on Tuesday against the Raptors and added five rebounds and two steals. Even when Brandon Knight returns, Booker should still find plenty of opportunities coming his way the rest of the season, and I like him at under 6K in a good matchup against Houston who allow the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. ∗∗∗∗∗
Arron Afflalo-New York Knicks (4,900): If you don’t buy the Booker storyline or don’t have the money to get him under your salary cap, Afflalo is a solid alternative especially with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope unsure to play tonight when the Pistons host Afflalo and the Knicks. Afflalo has at least 17 points in four of his last five games and has reached at least 22 fantasy points in each of those four contests. He has been playing big minutes with the current injury issues in New York and has logged at least 38 minutes in four of his last five. Given that much time on the floor, expect him to make an impact tonight while being a relatively safe pickup at under 5K. ∗∗∗
Terrence Ross-Toronto Raptors (4,300): Ross played 27 minutes in each of the Raptors last two games due in part to the injury to James Johnson. Ross has provided solid numbers in his expanded time and has at least 19 fantasy points in four of his last six overall. He had 16 points, three boards, a steal, and an assist on Tuesday against Phoenix, and he is the best cheap play out there if you don’t want to go ultra-cheap with Bryce Jones. ∗∗
Bryce Jones-New Orleans Pelicans (3,500): Jones started again last night for the Pelicans but was a little bit of a fantasy letdown with only eight points, three rebounds, an assist, and a steal for just 12.1 fantasy points. He had posted three straight games with over 20 fantasy points before that, though, so he’s still worth a look if Tyreke Evans is out again tonight and Jones gets another start for the Pelicans. ∗∗
