Are the Milwaukee Bucks open to trading for Jabari Parker?

The NBA trade deadline is right around the corner, which means we’re going to start hearing names kicked around that might not actually be serious trade candidates but will still be big talkers anyways.

Case in point: rumors have begun to surface about the Bucks willing to listen to offers on second-year player Jabari Parker.

According to Gery Woelfel from the Racine Journal Times, the Bucks wouldn’t be opposed to trading Jabari Parker if the right ‘crazy’ offer came in.

"“From what I’m hearing is they (the Bucks) are willing to trade anybody not named Parker, Antetokounmpo or Middleton,’’ an NBA executive said. “I even heard they’d listen (to offers) for Parker and Middleton, but it would have to be some crazy offer.”"

Of course, there’s nothing in that which suggests the Bucks are actively shopping Parker or pursing a trade. Bucks fans probably shouldn’t be too worried about Parker being moved, as the Bucks have established that they want him as part of their core — along with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

On the bright side, if Parker were to be moved it would likely be in a package that makes the Bucks better as the asking price for the young star won’t be low. Milwaukee would be foolish to not put out feelers on what they might be able to get for Parker but the likelihood that the trigger is pulled on a deal that moves him is pretty low.
