High Value PG

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (5,300): The Nuggets rookie PG has been up and down, but he has shown enough potential to be worth a look against D-Rose and the Bulls tonight who have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG.  Mudiay has at least 21 fantasy points in each of his last four games and in eight of his last ten.  He has at least four assists in each of his last ten games and multiple steals in three of his last four.  With Jameer Nelson already ruled out for tonight, Mudiay will continue to get plenty of playing time at the point and is worth a look if you go with a mid-range PG tonight.

Jose Juan Barea-Dallas Mavericks (5,200): Barea is much more expensive on DraftKings than he is in other formats, and he may be overpriced since Deron Williams is expected to return.  Barea does have at least 21 fantasy points in five of his last six games and four of those games were with Williams playing his normal minutes.  Barea has scored in double-digits in all six of those contests as well, and he should provide a nice boost off the Dallas bench as they take on the Spurs.  It’s not a great matchup, but viable value options are few and far between at PG tonight.

Darren Collison-Sacramento Kings (4,600): Collison could get some extra playing time tonight against Brooklyn since Rajon Rondo is still ailing with turf toe (although Rondo is probable for tonight). Collison has scored at least 14 points in each of his last three games and has over 24 fantasy points in three of his last six. He’s a risky play, but he’s one of the few options in the 4,000’s that has enough upside to deserve a look tonight. ∗∗∗

Shane Larkin-Brooklyn Nets (4,000): The duel between Larkin and Donald Sloan for minutes continues in Brooklyn and Sloan seems to still be holding a slight edge.  On Wednesday, Sloan had a solid game against Indiana while Larkin only played 16 minutes.  However, before that game it seemed like Larkin was the better option of the two with at least 22 fantasy points in four of his last five previous games. The two will continue to split time and whoever is playing better on a given night will have some nice upside.  I think that will be Larkin tonight against the Kings, but he’s a risky play since his usage is so uncertain.

Mo Williams-Cleveland Cavaliers (3,200): With the news this morning that Matthew Dellavedova is out tonight, Mo Williams is an interesting option to watch since he should be the primary backup PG tonight behind Kyrie Irving.  Williams played 11 minutes on Wednesday in Delly’s absence but finished with just 6.5 fantasy points despite taking a quick seven shots in those 11 minutes.  He could find more success tonight against Boston and should get enough playing time to be relevant, but obviously he’s a huge risk even when he does get the playing time.
