High Salary Goalie

Karri Ramo – Calgary Flames ($7,500): Things haven’t been pretty for Ramo this season, but he’s been effective for fantasy purposes in the right matchup. He was excellent in his last game on Wednesday, stopping 28 of the 29 shots he faced against the Hurricanes. The win was his first in four starts. He’s the confirmed starter tonight as Calgary will host Columbus. Ramo was sharp against the Blue Jackets on Jan. 21, stopping 27 of 29 shots and picking up a victory. Ramo looks like a very good goalie target this evening.

High Value Goalie

Frederik Andersen – Anaheim Ducks ($7,100): John Gibson got the start in Los Angeles last night, opening the door for Andersen to most likely get the start in net tonight. He has been hot with four wins in his last four starts. He’s looked very sharp over that stretch and has posted a 1.75 GAA. Anaheim has been surging lately and Andersen has been one of the beneficiaries of that. If he is in fact in net, consider him a top value pick at goalie.

Connor Hellebuyck – Winnipeg Jets ($7,300): Hellebuyck should be the protecting the net for the Jets tonight when they host Carolina. He’s really struggled recently with just one win in his last five starts. However, he did have back-to-back wins prior to the slump and has posted a solid 2.20 GAA this season. Tonight’s matchup doesn’t look too tough on paper, as the Hurricanes are ranked 24th in the NHL with an average of 2.4 goals per game. Hellebuyck offers good value and could be a very sneaky pick tonight for your fantasy lineup.
