Will Ted Ginn Jr. have a rushing attempt? YES (+200)

It isn’t great for my season-long record to give out a +200 underdog as a “straight up” proposition, but I like the value in this one quite a bit.

Carolina has two weeks to devise a way to get the ball into the hands of their fastest player, and that should be enough to flip the light switch on this one. Ginn has toted the ball as a rusher in both of Carolina’s playoff games, gaining 33 yards on two carries, and there is no downside to letting him cook in space as one of the fastest players in the league.

It may seem aggressive to pick something like this given that Ginn had only four carries in the regular season, and that is what the book is banking on when taking your action. However, Carolina has pulled out all the stops in the playoffs, and against a defense like the one Denver will put on the field, it would be a wise idea to get creative in attacking it.

Cam Newton is the best player on the field, but Ted Ginn might be the most dangerous with the ball and open field in front of him. Make this happen, Mike Shula.
