High Salary C

Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (8,100): Towns will be looking for his seventh straight double-double as Minnesota hosts the Bulls tonight who may be without Pau Gasol.  Whether the have Gasol or not, the Bulls has struggled to defend opposing centers this year, and Towns should be able to find success against them like he did when he faced them earlier this year and had 17 points and 13 rebounds against them.  Since the T-Wolves have been off since Wednesday, Towns should be ready for a full workload and will look to continue his excellent rookie season tonight against Chicago.

Brook Lopez-Brooklyn Nets (7,700): Lopez had 26 points and 12 rebounds  last night totaling 47.5 fantasy points against the Kings.  He has at least 42 fantasy points in five of his last seven games including three games over 50 fantasy points. No team in the NBA has allowed more fantasy points to opposing centers this season than Lopez’s opponent tonight, the Philadelphia 76ers. Lopez will be looking to score over 20 points for the sixth straight game and be looking to post his sixth double-double in his last eight contests.  Lopez costs a lot, but he’s also a really good play if you have the money to spend at center.

Marcin Gortat-Washington Wizards (6,800): Gortat had 44.25 fantasy points last night against the Sixers with 21 points and 13 rebounds.  He could be set up for another big game tonight against he Hornets since Cody Zeller probably won’t be able to slow him down very much.  He’s a nightly double-double threat and a steady producer of at least 25 fantasy points, but he doesn’t usually get to 40 fantasy points like he did last night.

Myles Turner-Indiana Pacers (6,500): Turner only played 23 minutes last night against the Hawks finishing with 24.25 fantasy points on 12 points and seven rebounds.  Turner has at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last ten games while breaking out in this his rookie season.  He has posted over 30 fantasy points in five of those games, but has been limited in his last two against Atlanta and Brooklyn.  He’ll look to bounce back tonight against the Pistons as he tangles with Andre Drummond and Ersan Ilyasova up front. ∗∗
