High Value SG

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (5,600): Hood scored 23 points last night against the Bucks in 41 minutes while adding there rebounds and two steals for a total of 31.1 fantasy points. He has at least 19 points and 26 fantasy points in five of his last six games and the Suns have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing SGs. Hood’s non-scoring contribution sometimes come and go, but he’s a pretty good pick based on matchup and recent form tonight.

Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (5,400): Booker has played at least 34 minutes in eight of the Suns last nine games including logging over 40 minutes in four of those games.  He has at least 30 fantasy points in four of those contests as well, and he has become a reliable source of 25+ fantasy points. He is a key player in the Suns’ future and the 19-year old rookie will get every opportunity to keep breaking out tonight in a tough matchup against the Jazz.

Joe Johnson-Brooklyn Nets (5,300): Johnson had a monster game last night against the Kings scoring 27 points to go with 11 assists, six boards, two steals, and a block on his way to a massive 50.7 fantasy points. He had 39.3 fantasy points on Wednesday against Indiana, and he will look to keep his momentum going in a good matchup against the 76ers tonight who allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF which is where Johnson is typically playing alongside Wayne Ellington and Donald Sloan in the backcourt.

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (4,800): LaVine continues to emerge as a solid option off the Minnesota bench and should continue to get plenty of playing time as long as Kevin Martin is sidelined.  LaVine has at least 14 points and 20 fantasy points in each of his last six games and is coming off a strong 17-point game against the Clippers in which he had a nice 27.3 fantasy points. He’s the best play under 5K tonight as the Wolves take on the injury-depleted Bulls.

E’Twaun Moore-Chicago Bulls (4,000): Moore played 31 minutes last night in Denver and has played over 30 minutes in four of the Bulls last five games.  He’ll again be asked to pick up the slack for Jimmy Butler and Nikola Mirotic tonight as the Bulls continue to deal with multiple injuries.  Moore showed he can go off with 24 points and 39 fantasy points against the Kings but only managed 11.6 fantasy points last night against the Nuggets last night. Time on the floor won’t be an issue for Moore, it just depends on if he can get his shot dropping tonight against the Timberwolves.

Bryce Jones-New Orleans Pelicans (3,500):  With Tyreke Evans still probably out tonight, Bryce Dejean-Jones will likely get another start for New Orleans as he looks to build on his big game from Thursday against LA. “Hot Mustard” finished with 17 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and an assist on his way to 32.3 fantasy points in 43 minutes.  Demean-Jones has at least 20 fantasy points in four of his last five games, and if he starts again tonight he’ll be the best ultra-cheap option. No Evans-∗∗
