Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby broke out the big guns in turns of his mouthguard for Super Bowl 50
The Denver Broncos came out and made a couple of statements early in Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers. Not only was the offense able to drive down off the opening kickoff and get the first points of the big game, but the defense was able to sack Cam Newton and recover the forced fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. More than that, Bradley Roby and the defense are doing it in style.
While the NFL has pretty strict limits on how players can go about expressing themselves during games (for example, you can’t wear any kind of unique cleats or something of that nature) there are ways to still go about. Roby decided to go about it with his mouthguard, which featured some pretty awesome, intimidating fangs:
While these guys in the NFL aren’t exactly intimidated by much of anything, that’s certainly an intimidating look that the Broncos defensive back is rocking.
However, it’s crazy that a mouthguard is about as far as players can push self-expression during games. The NFL has many problems, but the fact that players can’t wear personalized cleats or anything is something that has almost no repercussions, but that they stupidly seem hell-bent on enforcing.
