DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 7
High Value SG
Will Barton-Denver Nuggets (5,700): Barton has gotten back some of his sixth-man mojo lately with at least 258fantasy points in three straight games coming into this afternoon’s contest in New York. Barton is the “instant offense” factor coming off the bench for Denver and has had a very solid season including carrying the team for a while when Danilo Gallinari was out. He should be able to take it to the Knicks this afternoon although he has had a couple of clunkers recently which keep him from being a lock. ∗∗∗
Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (5,400): With Jae Crowder nursing multiple injuries, Turner has been stepping up off the bench for Boston and has at least 32 fantasy points in four of his last five games and at least 20 fantasy points in nine of his last ten. He went off for 46 fantasy points against the Cavs on Friday with 19 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, a block, and 43.4 fantasy points. Turner should be in a place to succeed today against the Kings who struggle against opposing wings even with Rudy Gay, but with Gay doubtful look for Turner to post a solid stat line. ∗∗∗∗∗
Arron Afflalo-New York Knicks (5,100): Afflalo is one of several players in the Knicks-Nuggets game taking on his own team, and I like the matchup for Afflalo who has become quite a workhorse for New York. Afflalo has played 38 minutes or more in six of his last seven games including over 40 minutes in each of his last three. He has at least 22 fantasy points in six of his last seven as well including a nice 35.75 fantasy points against the Pistons on Thursday. In the Thursday-Friday back-to-back, Afflalo totaled a massive 84 minutes, but as long as fatigue remains no factor today he will be in a good matchup against the Nuggets who allow the seventh-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.
Langston Galloway-New York Knicks (5,000): Galloway has been playing expanded minutes for the Knicks as he has filled in for Jose Calderon and Carmelo Anthony. He has logged at least 31 minutes in six of their last seven games and has over 24 fantasy points in five of those seven contests. His role today is a little unclear since Calderon is back and Anthony should be able to play (status unconfirmed at this point). He can be a streaky option and has a tendency to disappear, but he also has plenty of upside to like against the Nuggets who struggle to defend opposing PG and SG. ∗∗
Jamal Crawford-Los Angeles Clippers (4,800): The Clippers have been getting great play from Crawford lately and will continue to rely on him even more in the second unit with Austin Rivers out for several weeks. Crawford has at least 20 points in four of his last five games and has at least 30 fantasy points in each of his last three games. He played 35 minutes against Orlando in the first game the Clippers had to be without Rivers, and even if he doesn’t get quite that many minutes tonight in Miami, I think he’ll be able to put up a solid line especially with Tyler Johnson not available for the Heat. ∗∗∗∗∗
