Peyton Manning gets $2 million for Super Bowl 50 win
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning triggered a clause in his contract that pays him $2 million for winning the Super Bowl.
It’s a great night to be Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. In what could have been his final game, Manning went out on top,= as the Broncos topped the Carolina Panthers, 24-10, in Super Bowl 50.
Not only does Manning get to add one more Super Bowl to his legendary resume, he also gets some bonus cash because of his win at Levi’s Stadium. According to Pro Football Talk, Manning gets a $2 million bonus for winning the Super Bowl.
He also received $2 million for the Broncos reaching the Super Bowl. Overall, that’s an extra $4 million that Manning receives because of the Broncos’ terrific performance in the postseason.
Winning the Super Bowl and being able to add an additional $2 million is a pretty nice way to cap off a career, if in fact he does decide to call it quits.
While the Super Bowl wasn’t a great performance by Manning and he didn’t throw for any touchdowns, he didn’t make the big mistake that cost his team.
Now he has silenced the critics that didn’t think he would ever win another Super Bowl in his career. He’s also got some cash to show off for it.
