13. player. 54.
The Eagles have needs in a few major areas (defensive line!), but the offensive line might be chief among them. Philadelphia agreed to a massive contract extension with left tackle Lane Johnson at the end of the January, but on the other side of the line, the Eagles currently employ a massive hole at right tackle, and that can be filled here.

Conklin might be the best run-blocking tackle in the 2016 NFL Draft, and that is a better fit on the right side in a vacuum. He isn’t a dominant pass blocker, but Conklin was quite effective in keeping Michigan State QB Connor Cook upright over the last few seasons, and he is the best available offensive lineman at this point in the draft.

Philadelphia would be wise to evaluate every option here, including that of a would-be top-five pick (if it was not for his off-field issues) in Robert Nkemdiche. However, this is a safe pick for a franchise in real flux after the ousting of Chip Kelly from power, and Jack Conklin has all the makings of a ten-year starter at right tackle in the NFL. You could certainly use a mid-tier first round pick in a worse way.
. OT. Michigan State. Jack Conklin
