Jalen Ramsey. 5. player. 52.
This is a rare scenario in which the consensus pick is also the right pick. Virtually every major mock draft links Jalen Ramsey to the Jaguars with the fifth overall selection, and it makes all of the sense in the world.

Ramsey possesses tremendous size (6-foot-1, 205 pounds), speed and ball skills that will allow him to succeed at both cornerback and safety at the next level. Jacksonville is in desperate need of secondary help after yet another season with questionable play at both corner and safety, and Ramsey would serve as a vast improvement at either position, depending on how the Jaguars elected to deploy him.

The former Seminole is one of the best pure athletes in the draft, and he also happens to qualify if you’re looking for the “best player available” provision with a top-five pick. It should be noted that taking defensive backs this high is often a checkered decision, but Ramsey looks more like a player in the Charles Woodson mold than some of the more failed selections in the recent past.

This would be a strong choice from the Jaguars, and for a time with many holes, the positional versatility and upside of Ramsey pushes him over the top.
. DB. Florida State
