44. 2010 Green Bay Packers (SB XLV)

When you think about the Green Bay Packers over the past decade, the first thing that likely comes to mind is the prowess of the offense with Aaron Rodgers at the quarterback position. However, the offense wasn’t quite as dominating as you would expect for the entirety of the season back in 2010 when Rodgers led Green Bay to a victory in the Super Bowl and, overall, the team wasn’t on the level as many other champions.

The 2010 Packers went only 10-6 in the regular season and Rodgers and the offense not totally being consistent was a big reason as to why. They finished the year as just the No. 10-ranked offense in the NFL behind Rodgers, Brandon Jackson, Greg Jennings, and James Jones on offense. However, the team was carried by Clay Matthews, Charles Woodson and the defense that ranked second in the league as they conceded only 15 points per game, which helped the team rank second in the NFL in terms of point differential as well.

With their lack of dominance in the regular season, they could have ranked higher had they been more dominant in the playoffs—but that wasn’t how things played out. Other than their Divisional Round win over the Atlanta Falcons, every win was by just one score. Even still, they were far from the worst Super Bowl champs ever, but also far from being one of the greatest either.
