High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Okalhoma City Thunder (11,100): Westbrook costs more than any other PG on FanDuel tonight, but you can’t just pass him by without at least considering how awesome he has been lately.  Westbrook has at least 50 fantasy points in five of his last six games including 51.6 fantasy points against Steph Curry and the Warriors and 69.8 fantasy points against the Magic in the game before that.  He is in a great matchup against the Suns who allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG, so unless the Thunder make the game non-competitive early Westbrook should be in store for a big stat line again tonight.  He had three straight triple-doubles before only having three rebounds against the Warriors, and he could easily reach that level again tonight in a great matchup in Phoenix.

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (8,900): Lillard has posted at least 35 fantasy points in seven in a row and has four double-doubles in his last six games. He actually hasn’t been shooting extremely well, but his big assist numbers have allowed him to produce very nice fantasy points.  He had 50.5 fantasy points against the Raptors on Thursday of last week, and he should be ready to take it to the Grizz tonight in Memphis.

Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,800): Lowry had a very nice 50.2 fantasy points on Thursday against Lillard and the Blazers and has had a long weekend since then.  Toronto is back in action tonight as they visit the Pistons in the Motor City.  Lowry has at least 25 points in four of his last six games and has totaled 50 fantasy points three times in his last ten.

Rajon Rondo-Sacramento Kings (8,400): Rondo and the Kings played his former team in Boston yesterday, and Rondo had 14 points, 15 assists, and six steals on his way to 50.5 fantasy points. He has at least 42 fantasy points in five of his last nine games despite battling a toe injury in a few of those contests.  He has multiple steals in five straight games and has at least 15 assists in four of his last eight contests. He’s in a tricky matchup against the Cavs tonight, but I still think he’ll end up with a good line in a high-scoring game since Sacramento has been playing an up-tempo, defense-optional style in their recent games.

Kyrie Irving-Cleveland Cavaliers (7,200): On the other side of that matchup, Irving should be able to pile up fantasy points in a hurry against Rondo and the Kings who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG.  Irving put together 39.3 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Saturday in his most recent game.  Irving had 29 points in that contest with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  He has over 34 fantasy points in five of his last six contests, and I love his matchup for tonight making him one of my favorite plays of the day.

Derrick Rose-Chicago Bulls (6,900): Rose has been playing exceptionally well over his last few games too, and he’ll have to help carry the offense for the Bulls again tonight with Jimmy Butler out. Rose has 38.7, 52.8, and 38 fantasy points in his last three games and followed his 30 points in Denver on Friday with an 18-point, ten-assist double-double in Minnesota on Saturday.  As the Bulls continue their road trip in Charlotte, Rose will be the focus of the Chicago offense again tonight making him a very nice fantasy play. UPDATE: ROSE IS OUT TONIGHT.

Jeff Teague-Atlanta Hawks (6,100): Teague has been on fire lately and had 29.7 fantasy points against the Magic when the two teams played yesterday.  As they face-off again tonight in Atlanta, Teague should be set up for another good game against Orlando who has allowed more fantasy points to opposing PG over their last five games than any other team in the NBA.
