2. Deal with the Los Angeles Clippers

Every team makes moves in the off-season that don’t always end up working out. Whether it’s a trade for a player that doesn’t end up working with the roster or signing a guy to a deal that he doesn’t live up to, teams just don’t always get the return on value that they are looking for.

That’s why every now and then, teams will swap a bad contract for a bad contract in hopes of seeing if they can get the most out of a player that could perhaps fit their system better. The Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers both made deals this off-season that haven’t paid off the way they would have hoped.

The Clippers acquired Lance Stephenson in the off-season and he hasn’t done anything worthy of the two years left on his contract he has and Marco Belinelli hasn’t been what the Kings have wanted for the three-year deal that they gave him.

However, if the Kings are looking to improve on defense and the Clippers want to add some more shooting to the roster. Swapping both guys works financially and could provide exactly each team with what they need. The thought of Stephenson on the roster in Sacramento is something that would be a sight to see with the personalities in place, but it could prove beneficial.

Belinelli could thrive with Chris Paul and could give the Clippers another weapon as they get ready for the playoffs. A change of scenery could be exactly what both need.
