High Salary PF

Draymond Green-Golden State Warriors (9,300): There are some great options at PF tonight starting with the most expensive name on the list–Draymond Green.  Green has been on a nice roll lately finishing with 57 and 59 fantasy points in back-to-back games last week against the Knicks and Wizards.  He had a little bit of a down game against the Thunder with just 33.8 fantasy points on nine points, six assists, and 14 rebounds, but he’s in a great place to bounce back with a big game tonight against the banged-up Rockets front line. Green posted a triple-double against Houston in their last meeting with ten points, 11 boards, and 16 assists, but remember that game was without Steph. Since Curry is expected to play tonight, Green will take a less active role in creating but should still be highly involved in a great matchup against the Rockets who allow more fantasy points to opposing PF than any other team in the NBA. As long as the game doesn’t turn into a laugher too early, look for Green to end up with big numbers in all categories tonight with another triple-double a distinct possibility.

Kristaps Porzingis-New York Knicks (7,200): The Wizards like to go small, but there’s no way they can expect Otto Porter or Jared Dudley to be able to handle Porzingis. After a few weeks of mediocre play, Porzingis has kicked it back into another gear in his last two games with 43 and 45.25 fantasy points coming from a pair of double-doubles against Memphis and Denver.  Tonight, I love his matchup due to the Wizards lack of good PF options, and I think he’ll have another big night tonight in DC as he continues to be the Knicks best option on offense partly due to Melo’s injury issues. It will be interesting to see if new interim coach Kurt Rambis shakes up the rotation, but Porzingis’s time should be safe.

LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs (7,100): The Spurs won’t have Tim Duncan again tonight, and they continue to rely on their offseason free agent signing LaMarcus Aldridge who has stepped up big-time over the last few weeks.  Aldridge has at least 38 fantasy points in five of his last six games including three games over 40 fantasy points and even a 52-fantasy-point effort against the Pelicans last Wednesday.  Aldridge’s price is still pretty low given his recent production, and he’s a good play tonight against the Heat even though Miami has good interior defense with Bosh and Whiteside. ∗∗

Derrick Favors-Utah Jazz (7,000): Favors has scored in double-digits with at least 19.75 fantasy points in every single one of his seven games back and has helped the Jazz go on their recent run of success.  He had two huge games last week against Denver and Milwaukee with double-doubles and at least five blocks powering him to 41.75 and 45.75 fantasy points. He came back to earth on Saturday against the Suns with just 22.75 fantasy points in Phoenix on 11 points and seven boards.  Tonight, he will face the front line of the Mavericks which ranks in the middle of the pack defensively. It’s worth noting that his two big games came against weak interior defenses and that both were at home. Tonight’s game is on the road which makes Favors a little higher risk, but he’s still a solid option give his ability to produce good numbers in points, boards, and blocks.
