High Salary C

John Tavares-New York Islanders ($7,800):  Tavares remained hot on Sunday with a goal and two assists. He’s got a goal in two straight games and nine points in the last six games. He’s finally started to play like a fantasy superstar again and makes for a great play each night that he is on the ice. Tonight’s matchup looks very good, as the Blue Jackets are ranked 27th in points allowed to opposing centers. Take Tavares and have no worries.

Nathan MacKinnon-Colorado Avalanche ($6,600): MacKinnon is up to 43 points for the season and has an assist in two straight games. With three goals and two assists in his last seven games, MacKinnon deserves a serious look in daily hockey lineups. Tonight’s matchup is a very favorable one. Vancouver is ranked 22nd in fantasy points allowed to centers. Take MacKinnon at a discount over some of the more expensive options.

Evgeny Kuznetsov-Washington Capitals ($6,500): Kuznetsov picked up another assist on Sunday and now has 12 assists in his last seven games. Like several of his Washington teammates, Kuznetsov has been absolutely on fire for the last month or so. He’s a very popular pick right now, but still worth owning in all formats, even in a tough matchup with Nashville tonight.

High Value C

Tyler Johnson-Tampa Bay Lightning ($5,200): Johnson recorded a goal and two assists on Friday but had a two-game goal streak snapped on Monday. He still has six points in his last six games and has been playing well recently. Overall, it’s been a slow season for Johnson, as he has just 20 total points. However, he has definitely heated up as of late. Tonight’s matchup with Montreal is a decent one, making Johnson a solid sleeper choice for your lineup.

Paul Stastny-St. Louis Blues ($4,800): Stastny has been a solid fantasy producer for a large part of the season and is coming off a huge game in which he scored a goal and dished out an assist against Minnesota. That performance earned his fantasy owners 6.5 points. Tonight he gets to go against Winnipeg, the 30th-ranked team against opposing centers. Stastny makes a nice choice for fantasy lineups this evening.

Sam Reinhart-Buffalo Sabres ($4,000): Buffalo’s rookie has shaken off an injury and a slump and is now working on back-to-back games with a goal. He usually doesn’t carry a high ownership number, so his value is increased even more. On a night with so many options, Reinhart will easily get overlooked, making him a great target at center.
