High Salary PG

Stephen Curry-Golden State Warriors (10,900): Curry definitely  has the ability to be worth his almost 11K salary any night he takes the floor.  He has over 50 fantasy points in seven of his last ten games including each of his last two when he out-dueled John Wall (61.4 fantasy points vs Was) and Russell Westbrook (51.2 fantasy points vs OKC). The only reason to maybe not like Steph as much tonight is that he will have to deal with Patrick Beverley on the defensive end while Klay Thompson and Draymond Green has more favorable matchups to attack.  He has to produce big numbers to be worth his salary, and I’m not 100% sure he’ll do that tonight. However, it’s also possible that he goes off and its impossible to win without him, so it’s always hard to fade Curry. ∗∗

John Wall (10,200): While he was eclipsed by Curry in their matchup last week, John Wall still did have 60.6 fantasy points in that contest and has posted 51.6 and 47.2 fantasy points in his two games since.  He has at least 47 fantasy points in five of his last seven including that monster game against the Warriors.  He’s in a good matchup against the Knicks tonight in the Big Apple, and if you do decide to pass on Steph he’s the other expensive option to consider. The advantage of going with Wall is that you know for sure he’s going to be right at the center of what the Wizards are doing on offense.  He may not have the scoring potential that Curry does, but he has handed out at least ten assists in eight of his last ten games and provides very stable near double-double production on a nightly basis. Because of the matchup and what I think will be high Steph ownership, I’d actually lean toward Wall for tonight’s tournament play entries.∗∗∗

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (8,000): Thomas has been excellent lately for Boston and had 45.3 fantasy points on Sunday in his last game against the Kings. He has at least 20 points in four of his last five games and has produced at least 33 fantasy points in six of his last ten.  He is in a tough matchup tonight against the length of Michael Carter-Williams and company, so I’m not super-sold on him at this price, but he’s one of the few PG in the midrange who I think are worth even considering tonight.
