High Value PG

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (5,800): Mudiay is another young PG picking up some nice numbers lately.  He has at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last three games and in five of his last seven. He is playing heavy minutes for Denver right now with Jameer Nelson sidelined, and he’ll be running the up-tempo attack again tonight against Reggie Jackson and the Pistons. ∗∗

Norris Cole-New Orleans Pelicans (5,500): The Pelicans have been very reliant on Cole since injuries to Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon. With news breaking this morning that Evans is out for the season, look for lots of minutes for Cole the rest of the way even with Jrue Holiday a big part of the Pelicans’ offense as well.  Cole has played at least 30 minutes in seven of his last eight games and has at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last seven.  Cole has thrown up a few duds, but he has huge upside at this price if he gets his shot dropping against the Jazz tonight in the Big Easy.

Elfrid Payton-Orlando Magic (5,100): Payton struggled in his first few outings with Victor Oladipo alongside him in the backcourt, and as a result his price dropped. He has since settled in nicely and his price is still a little low given his recent numbers. In his last two games he posted 40 and 43.5 fantasy points. Both those games were against the Hawks, and he’s in a tougher matchup tonight against the Spurs. However, the Magic’s second-year PG is surging as we head into the break.  He and the Magic visited San Antonio on the first of the month, and in that contest Payton had six points, eight assists, and five rebounds on his way to a solid 27.75 fantasy points. ∗∗∗∗

Cory Joseph-Toronto Raptors (4,200): Joseph continues to play big minutes coming off the bench for the Raptors and be one of the best cheap options at PG in the NBA.  He has played at least 23 minutes in each of his last eight games and has at least 15 fantasy points in each of those contests.  He posted 24.5 fantasy points on Monday in Detroit and has at least 20 fantasy points in five of his last eight which is enough to make him a pretty good value option in a good matchup like in Minnesota.

Raul Neto-Utah Jazz (4,000): Neto is just about the cheapest starting PG in the NBA these days, and he has been producing pretty solid lines lately for the Jazz who have been without Trey Burke for their last few games. Burke could return tonight, but whether he does or not I like Neto who had at least 19 fantasy points in five straight before being limited by foul trouble to just 19 minutes last night in Dallas.  He had eight points and two assists against the Mavericks, but he’ll probably be on the floor much more tonight as long as he can avoid picking up quick fouls like he did last night.
