High Salary SF

Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (7,600): Leonard continues to step up his game over the last couple of weeks with at least 20 points in five of his last six games and posted 23 points, nine boards, four assists, and three steals in his 33 minutes in Miami last night finishing with 47.25 fantasy points. He has at least 40 fantasy points in back-t0-back games now, and he has at least 39 fantasy points in three of his last four.  He had a very quiet game against Orlando a week ago Monday with just 25.25 fantasy points, but I expect much more from him tonight as the Spurs look to keep their roll going into the All-Star break.

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (7,300): Batum is really playing more SG than SF right now, but he’s still a SF on DraftKings.  He’s starting in the backcourt next to Kemba Walker with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist starting at SF on the opposite wing.  Batum has thrived in the lineup with MKG and Kemba posting 45 fantasy points, 57.25 fantasy points, and 52.25 fantasy points in the three games the three have started together this season.  Batum usually plays heavy minutes and has totaled a massive 88 minutes in his last two games, but its impossible to argue with his top-flite production falling just a few assists short of back-to-back triple-doubles. Batum should be ready for another good game as he tries to stay hot as the Hornets go on the road to take on the Pacers. ∗∗∗

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (7,300): Hayward and the Jazz play for the second night in a row on the road as they face the Pelicans tonight after Hayward’s game-winner at the end of overtime got them their seventh straight win. Hayward started slow, but he finished with 20 points in 45 minutes with enough non-scoring stats to get to 33.75 fantasy points. He has at least 33 fantasy points in seven of his last ten games and is emerging as one of the offensive leaders on this emerging team.  He will look to carry Utah again tonight, and I see him as fairly low-risk tonight.

Danilo Gallinari-Denver Nuggets (6,800): Gallinari had a big game against Brooklyn on Monday dropping 24 points to go with seven assists and three rebounds for an impressive 43.75 fantasy points. He has at least 40 fantasy points in two of his last three and in four of his last ten.  Gallo has been a little inconsistent lately, but he has an extremely high ceiling and he lit up the Pistons when he faced them earlier this season.  In that game, Gallinari had 30 points, six rebounds, and two assists, and he should be well-rested since he’s not on a back-to-back like Leonard and Hawyard.

Stanley Johnson-Detroit Pistons (6,000): Johnson has started the last three games for the Pistons in place of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and has shown his upside while also struggling in his last game out. He had 22 points, nine boards, and five assists against the Knicks in his first start on Thursday totaling 46.25 fantasy points. He followed that with 33.5 fantasy points against the Pacers on Saturday.  Everyone was buying in and he was a DFS darling on Monday against Toronto, but Johnson stumbled and only managed 15.75 fantasy points on five points, five rebounds, and three assists. I’m still on board the Stan-the-Man bandwagon for another game tonight, and I think he’ll log another heavy workload in the Pistons final game before the break. I wish he was cheaper than this, but he has the upside to still consider tonight.
