DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 10
High Value SF
Jeff Green-Memphis Grizzlies (5,700): Green continues to be one of the key pieces in the Memphis attack and with Marc Gasol out, the Memphis offense will need all the firepower it can get. Green has at least 21 fantasy points in each of his last seven games and has posted over 37 in three of those contests. Green continues to play huge minutes with over 34 minutes in three of his last four games. He’ll take on the Nets tonight who have struggled guarding opposing wings, so I like him to finish the first half with a big night in Brooklyn. ∗∗∗
Harrison Barnes-Golden State Warriors (4,900): Barnes has started to look more comfortable in the Golden State attack after a period of adjustment after his return from an ankle injury. Barnes had 19 points last night against Houston and finished with 31.25 fantasy points. He has posted back-to-back games with 19 points and has at least 21 fantasy points in six of his last nine games and four of his last six. He should find plenty of space to operate tonight against the Suns who allow the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF, and Barnes should play over 30 minutes for the sixth straight game before getting over a week off while some of his teammates head off to Toronto. ∗∗∗
Wesley Johnson-Los Angeles Clippers (4,800): In the Clippers every-changing wing rotation, Johnson has been pretty productive lately with at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last four games. He played 42 minutes while starting in place of a resting Paul Pierce on Monday and had a solid 27.25 fantasy points on seven points and nine rebounds. He probably won’t get that much time tonight since Pierce is expected to play in his return to Boston, but Johnson is still getting enough playing time to be a gamble worth taking against the Celtics. ∗
Mario Hezonja-Orlando Magic (3,700): Hezonja is an ultra-cheap option at SF tonight, and he has a ton of upside as he grown into the Orlando rotation. While his defensive deficiencies have kept “Super Mario” from advancing to the next level, Hezonja has played over 20 minutes in six of the Magic’s last seven games and has at least 15 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He had one of his best overall games as a pro on Monday in Atlanta scoring 14 points to go with nine rebounds and three assists to total a very solid 29.25 fantasy points in his 32 minutes. He can score at the NBA level and as his defense comes along, he’ll get more playing time an Orlando rotation that needs as much offensive firepower as it can get. ∗
Jonathon Simmons-San Antonio Spurs (3,100): Simmons has played over 23 minutes in each of the Spurs last three games and has over 15 fantasy points in each contest. He had ten points, four boards, and an assist last night to get to 15.5 fantasy points agains Miami, and he continues to gain the confidence of the coaching staff. With the Ginobili injury and Kyle Anderson’s struggles, there’s a chance for Simmons to claim a role coming off the bench and so far he’s rising to the challenge. He’s very under-priced for his potential and should return value tonight against Orlando whether it turns into a blowout or stays competitive throughout. ∗∗∗∗
