High Value PF

Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (5,800): Gordon has been a great addition to the Magic starting lineup and has started to thrive at PF for a maturing Orlando team.  Gordon has at least 34 fantasy points in four of his last six games including each of his last two against Atlanta.  He had 12 points and 16 boards against San Antonio last Monday for a nice 34.5 fantasy points, and he’ll look to go off against the Spurs again tonight in Orlando.  Gordon oozes potential, but he has had a few down games making him a good play but not without risk tonight. ∗∗

Ersan Ilyasova-Detroit Pistons (5,000): Ilyasova burned owners badly with only four fantasy points on Saturday at Indiana (thankfully he wasn’t in my picks that day).  He bounced back on Monday with 25 fantasy points on Monday against the Raptors on 17 points and six rebounds.  Tonight, he’s in a great matchup against the Nuggets who allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF. Ilyasova had nine points and nine boards against the Nuggets when Detroit played Denver earlier this season, and I think he’ll be able to get a double-double tonight.

Ed Davis-Portland Trail Blazers (4,400): Davis has played over 20 minutes in nine of his last ten games and has become a beast on the offensive glass.  He finished with 29 fantasy points on Monday against the Grizzlies and has 18 fantasy points or more in seven of his last ten.  Against the Rockets who allow more fantasy points to opposing PF than any other team in the NBA, look for Davis to be productive if he can continue to get good playing time for coach Terry Stotts in Portland.

Brandon Bass-Los Angeles Lakers (4,000): The Lakers frontcourt has been decimated by injury with Larry Nance Jr. out until after the break and Roy Hibbert also nursing a sore ankle.  Since Hibbert is expected to return tonight, Bass may not quite get the 32 minutes he played on Monay, but he should be close to 25 minutes and continue to have upside if things go his way.  He had 23.5 fantasy points on Monday on nine points and six boards and is a decent cheap flier tonight against the Cavs.
