FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 10
High Salary PG
Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (9,000): Lillard played 43 minutes in the Blazers overtime road win in Memphis on Monday scoring 33 points to go with five assists to total an impressive 45.3 fantasy points. He has over 45 fantasy points in two of his last three games and has at least 35 fantasy points in each of his last eight. Tonight, he’ll take on the defense-optional Rockets for the second time in a week. On Saturday, he posted 38.8 fantasy points in Houston on 21 points, ten assists, and four rebounds. He’s the top PG that I would consider spending on tonight even though he will have to deal with Patrick Beverley.∗∗∗
Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,900): Lowry continues to toil in obscurity in Toronto, but he is a solid option for DFS fantasy basketball owners most nights the Raptors take the floor. Tonight, he’ll take on the T-Wolves who allow the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. Lowry comes in with a head of steam coming off three straight games with 25 points and back-to-back 40-fantasy-point nights. He had 50.2 fantasy points against the Blazers on Thursday in Portland and followed that with 41.1 fantasy points on Monday in Detroit. He and the Raptors wrap up their five-game trip tonight before the break, and Lowry should be ready to log big minutes again and carry the load offensively for the Raptors. ∗∗∗∗
Rajon Rondo-Sacramento Kings (8,800): While Sacramento’s defense has been atrocious, Rondo’s has been running an effective offense. Rondo has at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last three games and six of his last ten. He has at least three steals in five in a row and has handed out at least 15 assists in three straight games and five of his last nine. Rondo is a great defender when he wants to be, and I think he’ll respond tonight and in the coming nights with good numbers. Tonight, he’ll face a 76ers team that the Kings need to beat after ownership decided to keep George Karl. ∗∗∗
Kyrie Irving-Cleveland Cavaliers (7,600): Irving had a huge game against Rondo and the Kings with 32 points and 12 assists on Monday for a total of 53.6 fantasy points. He has at least 34 fantasy points in six of his last seven games, and is definitely finding his groove. He’s in the best possible matchup tonight against the Lakers who give up more fantasy points to opposing PG than any other team in the NBA. Irving is scoring in bunches with over 20 points in six of his last seven games, and I would be very surprised if he doesn’t exceed that production again tonight in the early game on ESPN. ∗∗∗∗∗
Ishmael Smith-Philadelphia 76ers (7,000): Smith sustained an ankle injury and was forced to miss a game on Saturday, but he was back on Monday with 36.3 fantasy points in 33 minutes against the Clippers. Smith has at least 35 fantasy points in three of his last four games and in five of his last nine. He takes on the Kings tonight who have been horrible on defense as mentioned above allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing PG on the season. As long as he’s playing his normal minutes, Ish should be in a place to produce tonight. ∗∗∗∗
Derrick Rose-Chicago Bulls (6,900): Rose was a surprise inactive on Monday with “general soreness.” I was able to get him out of my lineups, and hopefully you were able to as well (I blasted Twitter pretty hard with the news, so follow up if you missed it). Rose had at least 38 fantasy points in each of his last three games before missing Monday and will need to carry the offense while Jimmy Butler is out. Butler will be sidelined for a few weeks, meaning Rose’s price is primed to sky-rocket, so get him under 7K while you still can as he and the Bulls host Jeff Teague and the Hawks in Chicago tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
