FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 10
High Value PF
Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (5,800): Gordon has been a great addition to the Magic starting lineup and has started to thrive at PF for a maturing Orlando team. Gordon has at least 31 fantasy points in four of his last six games including each of his last two against Atlanta. He had 12 points and 16 boards against San Antonio last Monday for a nice 31.2 fantasy points, and he’ll look to go off against the Spurs again tonight in Orlando. Gordon oozes potential, but he has had a few down games making him a good play but less than a lock tonight. ∗∗
Markieff Morris-Phoenix Suns (5,800): Morris is another player who has been playing a bigger role for his team recently, but his move back into the starting lineup and renewed effort has everything to do with the Suns coaching change. Morris has played four games for interim head coach Earl Watson and has three games with over 35 fantasy points in those contests. He’s in a tough matchup at home tonight against the Warriors, but he has huge upside since he has become the focus of the Suns attack and can be a multi-category producer when he’s giving maximum effort which he seems to be doing lately. ∗∗∗∗
Ersan Ilyasova-Detroit Pistons (4,800): Ilyasova burned owners badly with only three fantasy points on Saturday at Indiana. He bounced back on Monday with 23.2 fantasy points on Monday against the Raptors on 17 points and six rebounds. Tonight, he’s in a great matchup against the Nuggets who allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF. Ilyasova had nine points and nine boards against the Nuggets when Detroit played Denver earlier this season, and I think he’ll be able to get a double-double tonight. ∗∗
Mareese Speights-Golden State Warriors (3,800): Speights is going to play a bigger role for the Warriors going forward joining their bench unit in place of the injured Festus Ezeli. While “Mo Buckets” is nowhere near the defender that Ezeli is, he does have some offensive potential and is usually aggressive at the offensive end. He has at least 15 fantasy points in each of his last five games including 17.8 fantasy points last night against the Rockets on 15 points and four rebounds in just 12 minutes. Tonight, he’ll be in a good matchup against the Suns and he could get extra playing time if the game turns one-sided early.∗
