Orlando Magic. 1. player. 38. . East. Southeast

If the Kings are going to trade Rondo, it would make the most sense to send him to the Orlando Magic for any number of their young pieces: Elfrid Payton, Victor Oladipo, Mario Hezonja, Tobias Harris, Evan Fournier, pretty much anybody but Nikola Vucevic.

Orlando has great talent on this young team and head coach Scott Skiles will get this team into the Eastern Conference playoffs sooner or later. What the Magic need more than anything is a point guard that won’t turn the basketball over, find its open shooters out on the perimeter, and a veteran player that knows how to win in the NBA Playoffs.

Rondo would be more than able to provide all three of those things the Magic desperately need to orchestrate its playoff run since former All-Star center Dwight Howard skipped town a few years back.

Rondo would have a great pick-and-roll partnership with Vucevic that might end up being better than the one he has with DeMarcus Cousins in Sacramento because of all the headaches that come with playing with Boogie.

Sacramento could use probably half of the Magic’s roster to make their basketball team better. Fournier would be an upgrade over shooting guard Ben McLemore. Oladipo still has an incredibly high ceiling as the former No. 2 overall pick in his NBA Draft. Payton won’t grind the gears of the Sacramento coaching staff with his attitude like Rondo tends to do.

Rondo to the Magic would help Skiles get his team into the NBA Playoffs, possibly this season as a surprising No. 8 seed if Orlando catches fire with Rondo’s arrival. No state income tax in Florida and a better shot at the playoffs than he has in Sacramento currently could make Rondo want to play in Central Florida for the Magic.
