High Salary Goalies

Henrik Lundqvist – New York Rangers ($8,300): Lundqvist has been extremely good lately for the Rangers. Over his last ten games, King Henrik has allowed just 18 goals and has won eight games with a .935 save percentage while averaging 6.2 fantasy hockey points per game. He has 27 wins and a save percentage of .923 this season. The Rangers goalie will start tonight against the Kings at home, where Henrik has allowed just 2.17 goals per game this season.

Petr Mrazek – Detroit Red Wings ($8,000): Mrazek has emerged as the Red Wings number one goaltender, something that Detroit has not truly had since the days of Chris Osgood. If you’re not familiar with Mrazek, get familiar with him because he’s not going away. This season Mrazek has 21 wins in 35 appearances with a microscopic GAA of 1.93 and a .934 save percentage. Over his past ten games, Mrazek has allowed just 13 goals and has a save percentage of .949. He goes against the Avalanche tonight averaging 5.2 fantasy hockey points per game.

Brian Elliott – St. Louis Blues ($8,200): Elliott has allowed just 2.o7 goals per game this season while saving .932 percent of his shots. Despite that, he only has 12 wins. That’s an indictment on the Blues. Over his last ten games, Elliott has just five wins despite having a save percentage of .948 and allowing 1.78 goals per game while averaging 6.2 fantasy points per game.

High Value Goalies

Jonas Hiller – Calgary Flames ($6,700): Hiller will most likely be in net tonight after Karri Ramo was injured in the Flames 6-5 shootout win. Jonas has been good in the past but he hasn’t been good this season. He has a save percentage of .895 while allowing 2.98 goals per game. However, the Flames have been playing better as of late and they are going against a struggling team in the Coyotes. Hiller is a risky start but he could pay off big time.
