High Salary Defensemen

P.K. Subban – Montreal Canadiens ($6,400): Subban has been red-hot as of late. This season he has five goals and 38 assists for 43 points with 148 shots on goal in 55 games. Over his last ten games, Subban has at least one point in nine of them. He is currently the owner of a seven-game point streak, during which he has two goals and eight assists for 10 games. The Canadiens defenseman goes tonight against a struggling Sabres team and averages 3.3 fantasy hockey points per game.

Kris Letang – Pittsburgh Penguins ($7,100): As great as Crosby has been lately, Letang could be playing even better as of late. He has 14 points over his last ten games and has 26 points over his last 18 games. Kris is a vital part of the Penguins power play. The Penguins defenseman goes against the Hurricanes tonight while averaging 3.5 fantasy hockey points per game.

High Value Defensemen

Jacob Muzzin – Los Angeles Kings ($5,300): Over his last ten games, Muzzin has a goal and seven assists for eight points. Muzzin has six goals and 25 assists for 31 points with 126 shots on goal in 53 games this season for the Kings. He averages 2.6 fantasy points per game.

T.J. Brodie – Calgary Flames ($4,800): Brodie might be the best value on FanDuel right now. He has four goals and 26 assists for 30 points with a plus-minus rating of +14 in 44 games. Over his last ten games he has eight assists and has at least one point in seven of those ten games. Brodie goes tonight against the Coyotes while averaging 2.4 fantasy hockey points per game.

Tyson Barrie – Colorado Avalanche ($4,100): Barrie is coming off a two-assist performance against the Ottawa Senators. He now has eight goals and 27 assists for 35 points this season with 110 shots on goal in 53 games. The Avalanche defenseman is always a good start and goes against the Detroit Red Wings tonight while averaging 2.4 fantasy hockey points per game.
